Kyoto part 1 – “Kinkakuji Temple”

Part 1 of my Kyoto travel note, is Kinkakuji Temple! (Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinkaku-ji).

Kinkakuji Temple is one of Japan’s shiniest temples! It is all gold, covered with pure gold leaf! This is why it is one of the most popular buildings in Kyoto, attracting many visitors!

It’s not just fancy tho, but has a meaning; “Gold was an important addition to the pavilion because of its underlying meaning. The gold employed was intended to mitigate and purify any pollution or negative thoughts and feelings towards death.”

This temple is a must see, if you are thinking of visiting Kyoto!

Stay tuned for more adventures of Sathi!
