Spring in Japan

Of course we can’t get enough of the sakura (cherry blossoms) in Japan during spring, but there are many flowers blooming all around us this season, not just sakura.

Sorry to say that I don’t know many of the names of the different types of flowers, but I do recognize are the camellias. These bushes are planted all around Japan and seem to be evergreen but in winter and spring they are full of flowers.

I really love to see all of the colorful flowers all over. It is such a mood booster! I always feel reflective of how time passes and seasons change but also things are consistent and you can always look forward to the flowers coming back every year.

I know I mentioned before that fall is my favorite season in Japan, but spring is also lovely!
